Marvel brought lot of great news and footage for fans of Marvel’s TV show lineup at the San Diego Comic Con this week – from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. to Netflix’s The Defenders.
Ghost Rider is Coming to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
First up, Marvel confirmed that Ghost Rider is officially coming to season 4 of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. played by Gabriel Luna. The announcement was teased through a large light rail ad, but was quickly debunked by fans suggesting Hellfire was going to take a larger role. Apparently we were all wrong.
This is a surprising game changer for the show, as it will become Ghost Rider’s first official appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The show returns Tuesdays, starting September 20 in a new timeslot at 10:00 pm. This time change will give more opportunity for the show to have darker material compared to the last seasons – and with Ghost Rider on board, it’s not surprising.

Daredevil Gets Renewed, New Shows Announced
On the Netflix front, Marvel has officially announced a 3rd season for their first ever partnership show with Netflix, Daredevil. No official release date has been revealed, but it will likely be done right after The Defenders finish production, which will also cause a delay on Jessica Jones’ 2nd season.
They won’t be alone however, as Iron Fist was officially revealed at the presentation, coming in 2017 with a brand new poster and a teaser trailer. Iron Fist will have Scott Buck (Dexter, Six Feet Under) as the showrunner, and Finn Jones will take on the role of Danny Rand, Iron Fist.
The Defenders also received a teaser trailer featuring the logos of all the characters that will join forces on the show as well as confirming the show’s release date for 2017. In the meantime, Luke Cage’s show will be dropping this year on September 30. A brand new clip was also featured for Luke Cage, be sure to check it out below!
